Digital Biking
Digital biking is the next generation bike engine technology. It was introduced for the first time in India by Bajaj on the Pulsar DTS-i. Digital biking enables your bike to deliver rip-roaring power without sacrificing on mileage.
The DTSi Technology
The revolutionary Bajaj DTSi engine technology is the heart of digital biking. It incorporates digital twin spark ignition, digital CDI and TRICS III.
The legendary DTS-i engine leads the pursuit of technology excellence. The re - tuned power plant delivers crisper throttle response for consistent output. Even in varying load conditions and at different levels of acceleration. Completely new cam timing leads to broader spectrum of the torque effect thus ensuring a phenomenal ride even at low speed and high gear combination. The new engine thus propels you to the pole position whenever you desire. |
Digital Console
New Digital Speedo Meter
The new Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i sports an LCD Speedo and Tachometer Console. Its large, orange back-lit display automatically brightens during the day and dims once the headlamp is powered. The digital cockpit displays vehicle speed, fuel level, neutral, high-beam, turning lights and side-stand warning. |
The analog tachometer now comes fitted with a self-diagnostic feature. When the ignition key is turned, the tachometer needle swings from rest and does a complete sweep up to its max position.
The CDI protects the engine by automatically cutting off sparks beyond 10,000 rpm. However, as an additional over-rev warning, the tachometer has a red prismatic light that blinks when the rider touches revolutions over 9000 rpm. This indicator has another function, too. It continuously glows red when there is less than 4 litres of fuel in the tank. Either way, it's time for the rider to take notice.
The fuel level is indicated by vertical bars on the LCD panel. A full tank is represented by 12 bars, and as the fuel level goes down, the bars start diminishing.
On the extreme right of the console is the rubber-tipped Tripmeter, which can measure two trip readings. The tripmeter values are displayed on the lower right hand corner of the panel and the Odometer on the lower left hand corner |
Self-Canceling Indicators
Unlike conventional motorcycles, the new Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i has Self-canceling Indicators that turn off when:
1. The turn has been completed and the handlebar comes to a 'straight ahead' position.
2. The rider selects a direction but decides to ride straight ahead. Now, all he has to do is select the opposite direction to switch the indicator off.
3. The directional indicator has been unintentionally activated. The indicator switches off once a pre-set time is reached. |
Enhanced Ride Feel
ExhausTEC - The unique ExhausTEC technology allows you to rev up when your heart feels like and the engine will pick up instantaneously irrespective of the gear you are in. It improves engine torque even at low rpms and is optimized to get maximum performance from the engine. Gives a feeling of abundant latent power at any stage of riding, which ensures effortless pulling for any load conditions.
Cylinder Head with Roller Rocker Arms / Improved Clutch / Optimized Intake and Exhaust Systems & New Valve Timings: The result of all these minute attention to details enables substantially improved Drivability across all the gears and engine rpms, with lesser gear changes. Drivability in Top gear is improved phenomenally, which will help in typical rush hour city riding. This also ensures better fuel economy with enhanced ride feel.
Enhanced Chassis
1.Enhanced Looks:The new design seat cowl neatly integrates the LED tail lamp making it almost flush fitting. This gives a clean look to the rear-end of the bike unspoil by any tail lamp protrubences. The mean muscular Aerodynamic shape sport high performance lightweight alloy wheels, which is a visual treat. The bike exhibits its definitely male character, which will overtake your imagination.
2.Enhanced Stability: Smashing looks apart, lighter yet stronger alloy wheels help you tackle the thickest of traffic jams. These smaller radius wheels (17") coupled with the wheelbase (1320mm) enables the nimblest of handling making the bike more agile and in control.
3.Enhanced Comfort: Experience the power of NitroX - Nitrogen assisted rear gas shockers with triple rated spring and anti-stiction teflon coated front telescopic
